Faiz Ahmad Faiz

faizFaiz Ahmad Faiz (February 13, 1911 – November 20, 1984) was a Pakistani poet, and author in Urdu and Punjabi language. He was one of the most celebrated writers of the Urdu language in Pakistan. Outside literature, he has been described as "a man of wide experience" having been a teacher, an army officer, a journalist, a trade unionist and a broadcaster.

Born in Punjab, British India, Faiz went on to study at Government College and Oriental College. He went on to serve in the British Indian Army. After Pakistan's independence, Faiz became the editor to The Pakistan Times. Faiz was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature and awarded the Lenin Peace Prize by Soviet Union in 1962 as he was an avowed Marxist. His work remains influential in Pakistan literature and arts. Faiz's literary work was afterwards publicly honored when the Pakistan Government conferred upon him the nation's highest civil award, Nishan-e-Imtiaz, in 1990.

Abrar-ul-Haq

abrarAbrar-ul-Haq is a Pakistani singer-songwriter, philanthropist and politician. His debut 1995 album Billo De Ghar sold over 40.3 million albums worldwide, which made him a household name and granted him the title of "King of Pakistani Pop". Abrar-ul-Haq is the Founder and Chairman of Sahara for Life Trust, a non-profit charitable organization that provides health services to the people of Narowal and surrounding areas since 1998.

In 2006, he founded the Youth Parliament of Pakistan (YPP) a non-profit, non-political and non-religious program that fosters excellence and translates talent in the young people of Pakistan through community service and tangible achievements. Its vision is to empower the young people of Pakistan with the ability to understand their role in society. In December 2011 Abrar-ul-Haq joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and contested General Elections for NA-78 (Narowal-II) in 2013 and 2018. On November 15, 2019, he was appointed Chairman of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS).

Ahsan Iqbal

ahsanAhsan Iqbal Chaudhary (born March 28, 1959) is a Pakistani engineer and politician who is serving as the Secretary General of Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz). He is a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since August 2018. Previously, he was a member of the National Assembly from 1993 to 1999 and from 2008 to May 2018.

He served as Minister for Interior and Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms in the Abbasi cabinet from 2017 to May 2018. A leader of the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz), he served as the Minister of Planning and Development of Pakistan and the Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission of Pakistan in the third era of Sharif's and briefly held the portfolio of Minister of Minorities and Minister of Education of Pakistan in the Gillani Cabinet in 2008. He served as the Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission of Pakistan from 1998 to 1999 during the Sharif's second era of power. He currently serves as federal minister for planning and development since 19 April 2022.
